Everything small blooms

I found a flower today

Red and big and strong

It popped against the day and its gray

And it made me feel right amidst all the the wrong

With a stem so green

One like I’ve never seen

I plucked it out of its place

And tucked it behind my ear, near my face

With the life so small that I lead

How could I not succeed?

Everywhere I look

Everything I see

Everyone I meet

love is the only thing I bleed

In every nook

In every sea

Each day I live is a treat so sweet

and love is all I can be
