I am these flowers

I feel like the flowers

that glow and bake under a winter sky’s sun

when i think of time spent with you;

a power

unbeknownst to yourself

I am these flowers

fed by light and air and water

and though you may be light

that fuels my mind’s hustle and bustle

and though you may be water

that flows without having to move a muscle

and you may even be the air

that makes my heart leaves that rustle

i don’t need you to live

i know you are a vessel, a magnifying glass to all that is good on Earth

but i am beauty

i am these flowers

that glow and bake

when i think of time spent with me

and i know what i need to live
