Spring and thaw

Spring had sprung

when I ceased to think of you

Winter returned to my lungs

when your figure appeared in my view

And so, whenever it’s cold,

I think of you

Fall falls on me

Like a bee flies from a tree

Winter returns to my lungs

When I see your favorite green

And so whenever its cold,

I think of you

But the ice melts

When your eyes hit

And I remember how I felt

When our hands fit

And so, winter sings whenever I think of you
